Entry: Life in Absence Friday, April 16, 2004

In case you didn't really know, I write songs. And this is my latest called, "Life in Absence". It is dedicated to Mr. White whom I never got to meet, but I did meet his son. Eric. His father, David, was killed in an accident when an 18-wheeler ran into him. This song is dedicated to him.

I cannot put into words
The feeling that I feel
When thinking of you once again
Crumbles me, I kneel...

You won't be there to laugh and play
You won't be there to sing
You won't be there to cry and weep
When it seems like nothing

CHORUS
Feeling you in this life in absence
Making sure we're doing it the right way
Feeling you in this life in absence
Making it all seem OK...
END CHORUS

A hand upon my shoulder
Another angel found his place
I feel so much closer
And I fill up this space

My heart, its filled with sorrow
Discouragement and dismay
I feel as though I've never been the same
And won't be until the day

That I see you standing in front of me
With open, outstretched arms
It's then I'll finally understand
That you mean me no harm

I know you are not with us
In physicality
You are simply somewhere else
Where none of us can see

REPEAT CHORUS

Please don't cry...
I swear I'll try...
To live up to your expectations...

REPEAT CHORUS

I will not be alone
I will not be alone
I will not be alone...

I will not...

God bless you, Mr. White. An angel who's found his place...
